Hello Rochester. My name is Em Scrivani and I am the new intern here at www.everybodysgood.com.  I will be focusing primarily on blogging and community outreach.

A bit about me:  I’m in my last semester at SUNY Brockport.  I’m majoring in Women and Gender Studies and minoring in English.  I identify as a feminist, and feminism shapes a lot of what I do and how I do it. I also love cats, blackberry iced tea, and reading.  I was born and raised in Buffalo, but I’ve recently settled in Rochester for the time being and I love it here.  In addition, I love arts and crafts, so if anyone knows of any crafting groups in the area, I’d love to get involved in some sort of social creative endeavor, but I don’t knit, crochet, sew, or quilt.

A bit about my blogging style:  My blogs will feature a broad variety of subjects that are close to my heart, so I will be blogging a bit about feminism and why it’s an important aspect of LGBT health and advocacy on here.  Other topics that really interest me are how relationships and spirituality affect our emotional and psychological health and wellbeing.  I will also be doing a weekly feature of another awesome blog to check out that relates to one of these topics.

So now that you know a little more about what direction I’ll be taking my blog in, I’d like your input.  Since I’m new to both www.everybodysgood.com and the Rochester area, I’d like to know where everyone goes to hang out around here.  Post your favorite hangouts in the comments.  Let me know if there are any sweet craft groups.  And if you know of any really cool blogs that you think people would really like, let me know, and maybe it can be one of my weekly featured blogs!
