Equality and Justice Day

Equality and Justice Day is today May 8th. Each year hundreds of lgbt men, women, children, and allies converge in Albany to rally at the capitol for LGBT rights.
Past years have focused on marriage equality.

We have won the fight for the right to marry and now the focus has shifted to encouraging our representatives to give equal protection and equal civil rights to the transgender community, youth, and rights at the federal level for all members of the LGBT community.

Equality and Justice Day is important enough that 600 people have given up a day at work, school, college classes, or other activities and have taken the time and money to get to Albany to represent our communities as a united group.

You can find more information on Equality and Justice Day by heading over to the Empire State Pride Agenda website.
