Everybodysgood.com, Lux Lounge, and AIDS CARE partnered up on April 2nd at Lux Lounge for the first annual Condom Craft Night. Approximately 50 people attended the Condom Craft Night event and local artists had some fantastic works of Art on Display (and for sale as well) at Lux. Selected artists crafted condom art prior to the event as examples of just how much you could do with condoms! Guests who attended the event had a giant table of crafty items such as beads, glue, glitter, paper, pipe cleaners, and assorted other items to turn expired condoms into works of art! Staff from the HIV Vaccine Trials Unit were on hand along with AC Staff to raise awareness about the trials, HIV testing, and safer sex/condom use.
The first annual Condom Craft Night was a huge success! Having been so well received the condom craft event is likely something Everybodysgood.com will do again. If you cannot wait till then I suggest taking some non-lubricated condoms and getting crafty. This is a great way to talk about safer sex with your friends and make any social gathering even more fun!
