A Baptist Church in North Carolina has taken an unusual stance in the fight for equality in marriage. As noted in the Huffington Post article Pullen Memorial Baptist Church has elected not to perform marriages for heterosexual couples as long as same sex couples are barred from marriage. This is highly unusual and a very risky yet appropriate stance to take in the fight for marriage equality. I applaud the 650 congregants who stand behind this idea and continue to fight for equal rights.
