National HIV Testing Day Event!

AIDS Care Brings Awareness to the Region in Recognition of National HIV Testing Day

In recognition of National HIV Testing Day, AIDS Care will provide a day of fun, food, and free HIV testing on
Friday, June 24 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at our 259 Monroe Avenue location.

Where did National HIV Testing Day come from?

The National Association of People with AIDS created National HIV Testing Day in 1995 as a way to raise awareness of HIV/AIDS and to encourage those who did not know their HIV status to test.

Why have an HIV Testing Day in 2011?

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)  estimates that one out of four people living with HIV in the U.S. are unaware of their HIV status.  National HIV Testing Day is an opportunity for people nationwide to learn their HIV status, and to gain knowledge to take control of their health and their lives.

Last year AIDS Care provided over 200 free, confidential HIV tests!

Come Join us and meet the staff from Everybodysgood.com and AIDS Care and get tested!

Hope to see you all on June 24th from 11 a.m-3 p.m.
