Stop It! Pop It!

Hey check this short video out.

It is part of the local Rochester HIV campaign

targeting youth and young adults under 25.

The community has seen a huge spike in the rate of HIV infections within that age group over the last couple of years.

That is worrysome news for those of us trying to limit the spread of HIV within our community.

It is never pleasant having to give someone HIV+ results especially teens who may not fully understand the impact of HIV on general health and wellness.

This group is already impacted with much higher rates of other STI's like Chlamydia and Gonorrhea and the combination of these type of STI's and unprotected sex can make it far easier to contract HIV.

What is your take on this issue and how do we "pop" the bubble?

P.S.

Don't forget places like AIDS Care where lgbt folks can get free and confidential HIV/STD testing as well as access to condoms, lube, and prevention education!
