SOUL is proud to announce that Jennifer Boylan will be coming to the College at Brockport campus to lecture and read from her memoir “She’s Not There: A Life in Two Genders” on Thursday, November 1st. This free event is sponsored by Sexual Orientations United for Liberation (SOUL) and the Women and Gender Studies Organization (WGSO). Jennifer Finney Boylan is a widely praised transgender author, professor, and activist. Her accomplishments are far too many to list but include involvement as the director of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), service on
the Board of Trustees of the Kinsey Institute, and twenty five years of work with students at Colby College in Maine as part of the English Department.
An accomplished author, Jennifer Finney Boylan has written twelve books with her thirteenth set to be released in April of 2013. Her memoir “She’s Not There: A Life in Two Genders” is a New York Times bestseller and explores the territory that lies between man and woman.
