Queer Women of Color Media: A Top Source for LGBT News

If you are looking for strong, in-depth and interesting coverage on the experiences of queer women of color in the US and abroad, I encourage you to rely on Queer Women of Color Media to deliver that news. I frequently find news stories and insightful commentary on this website that I do not find anywhere. News that quite frankly many print LGBT media outlets are not covering. For example I have yet to see an interview elsewhere  with Adaku Utah, a key educator/organizer around sexual health issues in Nigeria or a lot of coverage around The Peculiar Kind, an up and coming webseries about queer women of color. The site also includes a significant amount of material highlighting the experiences of transgender women of color.

The website relaunched in January 2012 and in its creators' words the website site, "is a media publishing and advocacy organization that amplifies the voices of Lesbian, Bisexual, Queer, Transgender women and gender non-conforming people of color, diaspora, and ethnic and racial minorities all across the globe."
