That's the message of www.safersex4seniors.com, the website that features this sexy and fun PSA about the importance of condoms and provides a variety of informaton for older adults on sexual pleasure and safer sex.
For older adults this message is especially important as STD rates have isen 70% in the last five years among older adults.
The website doesn't just encourage safer sex, it wants it to be sexier and more pleasurable too.
Visitors can find information on topics ranging from talking to your doctor about sex to not having painful sex to improving access to sex toys and ensuring your long term care facility will allow you to express yourself and your sexuality fully.
One thing I will say is that although the website has an LGBTQ specific section (with one article specific to transgender people/is a transgender 101 piece), there is not much information the includes representation of LGBTQ people. However, much of the information is useful. Hopefully in the future they will create PSAs and posters aimed at the LGBTQ community.
