Do you want your "needs" fulfilled over the holidays but are anxious about the TSA or grandma finding your toys while you travel? Well, courtesy of "Ask Lily" at www.dangerouslilly.com we have some tips to keep your fun discreet and your toys clean.
1) Lube - At www.everybodysgood.com we are pro-lube and this post is no exception. That being said, how you bring it is up to you. If you're putting it into a carry-on remember the TSA's 3 oz rule. You don't need a line of angry passengers held up because you brought the economy bottle.
Also, if you'd rather TSA or a nosey family member mistake your lube for shampoo, you might be better off transfering it to a 3 oz travel bottle.
2) Remove the batteries - ALWAYS. Seriously though. The easiest way to blow your cover is for a switch to accidentally turn on and your toy to light up.
3) Travel incognito - Either find a sex toy that wouldn't pass as a toy (ala a back massager or "lipstick" vibrator, though Lily's article implies the kitschy vibrators might not do the trick...) OR hide it discreetly within a cosmetic bag or wrapped in a sock stuffed in a shoe. The "Ask Lily" post gives waaay more suggestions so if this is a concern I would encourage you to check it out.
4) Bring toy cleaning wipes - They're a great quick, easy way to sanitize your toy without having Grandpa Jo awkwardly stumble across you boiling your toy on the stove when he comes in for his midnight snack.
Other Thoughts:
Along with helping you travel discreetly, we're big proponents of traveling safely/using your toys safely. If you want more sex toy tips and safer sex advice check out this post here. (While it focuses on S&M Safety, under the "Toys" section it has information on the care/use of sex toys such as dildos, vibrators, as well as S&M specific toys like floggers).
Hope you feel ready to vacation worry free! Happy travels!
