Are you looking for ways to include transgender congregation members? The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force has put together a great resource for being more inclusive of transgender congregation members. This is an especially important time of year to work to include transgender members as the upcoming holiday season approaches.

The document includes three sessions that a church leader or church group could facilitate. There are three sessions: How do we get understanding? (i.e. understanding who transgender people are; what it means to be transgender), How do we get acceptance? (i.e. the relationship between being transgender and the bible), and How do we get to welcoming? (i.e. how can a congregation be more openly/obviously welcoming of transgender people).
Within these sessions are resources such as bible verses related to each topic, as well as role playing activities for congregation members to practice what they are learning.
