That's right - thanks to the NYS legislature these three things will forever be linked in the history of NYS. Sweet corn and crossbows are the subject of 2 out of 5 laws the legislature has worked to pass this week instead of addressing the currently stalled bill on gay marriage.
Aside from the ongoing stress the wait creates for those invested in the bill, postponing the legalization of gay marriage in NY also has implications for queer New Yorkers' health.
