The New York State Senate voted against marriage equality for same-sex couples yesterday afternoon, 38 to 24. All of Rochester's senators: Jim Alesi, George Maziarz, Mike Nozzolio, and Joe Robach voted no.
How does that make you feel?

It's disappointing to say the least.
How does it make me feel? It makes me feel like exactly what I clearly AM----a second class citizen (& a pretty annoyed one at that!! LOL). I'm actually in Florida on vacation this week but as soon as I heard the news (by text from Allegra back home in Rochester) about the vote & the result I took the time to call my Senator on the phone and let him know what I thought about the way he voted and his clear and utter lack of respect for me, my partner, our family & our community.
Gay marriage is always a bad idea .
The antithesis of " marriage " is always divorce . Divorce should be a hetro phenomena . What justification is there for gay divorce ?
if people are psychosocially and emotionally " short yellow bus " , ( retarded ), they have no business cohabitation , hetro or homo to begin with . No , the should never be Gay marriage . Marraige , hetro or homo needs to have no legal standing or Governmental recogition , and remain a purely religious phenomena .
