On Monday, March 28 the Obama Administration announced that it will allow LGBT couples to apply for green cards while courts consider the constitutionality of the Defense of Marriage Act.
This is a major step forward for our families, and the first of many steps in protecting LGBT binational families.
In the coming days, the government should issue final guidance on how this decision will actually impact our families, now.
The legal team at Immigration Equality Action Fund has posted information on their blog, which should hopefully answer many of the questions you may have about this issue.

Thanks for reading, Jen!
Also, last week, the Uniting American Families Act (UAFA) was reintroduced to both the House and Senate! UAFA is explicitly LGBT-inclusive legislation. You can get more information and follow the progress and updates as it hopefully works its way up to a congressional vote on their blog (link above).
