Is there a reason that this site is under marketed and poorly utilized , posts are responded to by employees of the same AIDS CARE prevention devision ?
AIDS is not a queer disease , it is a human disease .
I am a lesbian living with AIDS .

Thanks for joining the conversation here on everybodysgood.com...we're glad you're reading---and that you posted...and you're actually articulating one of our challenges about the site being "poorly utilized."
With regard to marketing---the sad truth is that marketing isn't free. Unfortunately, being a site run by a non-profit with dwindling state health dept. funding to support it, there are limited resources (with regard to money, staffing, & time) and so we have to really target the kind of marketing we do. We try to be visible in as many Rochester queer community events as possible like the Empty Closet and ImageOut (the queer film festival).....and that marketing does work. Our site regularly gets around 3000 visits a month and we do get questions emailed to us through our "contact us" page---so we know people are coming and looking and reading...but you're right, not as many as we would like decide to post their thoughts and comments in the public comment section. That's definitely an area we'd like to see growth!!
Why is it AIDS Care employees who do a lot of the posting? That's easy: we're the ones who manage the site on a day to day basis. This website is a project of AIDS Care, an agency here in Rochester that is funded to do not only HIV/AIDS work...but also address queer health in a more holistic way----talking about the myriad other health issues that we face as queer people.
You are right, AIDS is not a queer disease exclusively (although we would be remiss not to acknowledge that HIV/AIDS has had a profound impact on queer people)----however, this IS a queer site. Our focus here is queer people and their health and wellness---and so that is why all issues we talk about here, including HIV/AIDS, are addressed through the lens of how they impact queer people.
We encourage you, and everyone else out there, to keep reading....keep (or start) posting...tell your friends about our site...and help us build some great everybodysgood energy!!
