The Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley (GAGV) has recently announced the creation of new pages on their website dedicated specifically to the issue of Partner Violence and Abuse.
These new pages will provide information, education, important safety planning tools, and resources to find help, including the Gay Alliance Anti-Violence Project of the Community Safety Program.
The GAGV is joining hundreds of state, local and community agencies in the "Shine the Light on Domestic Violence" campaign of the New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence (OPDV). The goal of the OPDV is to 'turn NYS purple,' in observance of this campaign tomorrow, and in honor of October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
The Gay Alliance is participating by turning the homepage of their website purple on Wednesday, October 20, and by launching the new Partner Violence and Abuse web pages.
