As lesbian and queer women, we have unique health issues and face certain challenges when dealing with the health care system. The National Women's Health Information Center created this response to Frequently Asked Questions about lesbian and queer women's health. It covers issues ranging from the challenges we face in accessing adequate health care, important health issues for us to be aware of, common STDs that lesbians get, information about violence in lesbian relationships, and lists some of the things we can do to take better care of ourselves. It's by no means comprehensive, but it covers a large range of information. It's a great resource for getting good information quickly.
